Homemade Eczema Cream

I have tried all kinds of combinations and we found this one to be the best for us. My hubby uses this after his bath and showers, little s also uses it twice a day, especially after her baths then we just use shea butter inbetween. See Epsom Salt Bath Post HERE. We also make our own body wash and homemade hand soap (HERE), it all really has helped their skin. You could use different combinations of essential oils, we use lavender and tea tree because they are safe for the kids to use or you also could just leave them out.

Use a stainless steel pan to melt coconut, shea and advacodo together, we have awful non stick pans that flake off, if you look close enough at the photos you can see it left a lot of black specks in there, imagine that in your food, no thank you!! This among other reasons is why a stainless steel pan set is at the top of our list, we have a steamer that we use and one other steel pan, I won’t be using the others from now on.

Eczema Cream

1/4 cup coconut oil

1 3/4 cup Shea butter

8 TBS advacodo oil

2 TBS raw honey

40 drops organic lavender oil

10 drops organic tea tree oil
Melt coconut oil, Shea butter, advacodo and honey together on a low heat until melted, stir in essential oils, place pan in a sink of cold water and whisk until mixture cools, then place in the refrigerator for approx 5 mins until it begins to get firm, with an electric whisk, whisk the cream until white and fluffy looking. Store in refrigerator in the summer.

  1. Wow this is amazing! My husband suffers with eczema and I never thought about making my own cream! Will have to give this a go and see if it helps him. Thanks for sharing!

    1. We had that and diprobase, then my hubby had hydromol and i hated it too, plus they didnt work on my little one but kept getting given them. Thats why i went looking for something different, it took us a while but with the cream, the epsom salt baths and now our filtered shower, my husbands has cleared up (he was on strong steriod cream, antihistamines and even had light treatment) and little s doesnt wake every night scratching! Its so aweful when they are little. The organic shea butter is so motierising, i love it too 🙂 xx
